I found an awesome new rock shop in town, so needless to say, it was time to stock up on some new rock bases! I have a nice mix of Thompsonite, Amethyst, Calcite, Wavellite, Rosalite, Quartz/Pyrite and a few others. I also have some new gem tree ideas, including Tourminilated Quartz, Black Onyx, possibly Andean Opal if Angie stops hogging all of them!, Peridot, Amethyst and a few more. I'm not sure what style they will be yet. I am planning on stopping the mini and large variations and combine them into one. The really only major difference between the two is the Large has 110 gems opposed to the Mini's 46. I tend to put the trees together so they all are more or less on a small scale (less than 8"). I ought to try some truly large gem trees that sit over a foot tall, but there is a lot to appreciate in small things. :-)
Unfortunately I've been so busy with life, that I haven't had a lot of time to work on the business. I'm letting things run their course, and will soon be able to add new gem trees. I don't have a space to work right now, and the internet connection is pretty lousy at times. All should be resolved within the next month, so hold tight!
I am also in the process of studying hard when I'm not helping Kevin's parents out! I've really gotten into Chakra Healing especially. There is just so much to learn about the human body and how it really truly works. You probably know from earlier posts, that I'm a certified Level II Reiki Practitioner. There was always something that didn't feel quite right about Reiki to me, and I understand why now. After doing some chakra studying, I learned that chakras needed to be treated from bottom up, meaning from Root to Crown, not vice versa. If the Root is blocked, little to no energy will flow past that. Reiki always goes Crown to Root. While I believe a lot of good can be accomplished with Energy Healing, I am having my doubts about generic Reiki practices. For instance, on the last person I worked on, I could feel a large area of balled up energy, that was causing his back problems. In Reiki you can only filter universal energy into that person. You are not allowed, and not taught, to do anything with that energy. Energies need to be free flowing, and flowing in the correct direction. Because I've studied other healing methods in addition to Reiki, I was able to pull out the person's blockage and get the energy correctly flowing again. He was doubting Reiki actually did anything, up until that moment! It was the first time I used crystals in along with the healing, and they really do help. They helped me focus, and their properties moved the session along in ways I would have never thought.
I'm talking a bit about energy healing, because I have an opportunity to start my own practice. I want to work on local people, as well as have my own website. I already started my own technique nicknamed "CHET" (Crystal Healing Energy Therapy). Once I get some extra time, I'm going to fully develop it! The practice will help market my gem trees and mala bracelets further. I don't want to quit what I do, so I need to expand on it.
Just a heads up, I WILL be attending the next Rock Show at Har Mar Mall at the end of June. No way would I miss it! I miss my customers and chatting about crystals. :-)
Well, I have to head back outside now. I am trying to finish yard work before another 5 days of rain hits! I have a wonderful backyard at my new residence, one that will be perfect for my newest work. The patio is surrounded by beautiful trees and rocks, and even a pond once I get it going! Look for more exciting things to come in the next few months! Have a great holiday weekend, and keep it safe!
This morning I was able to edit photos and get the five newest TINY gem trees listed on Etsy. I love the shapes of these new ones, especially the Malachite. There is a simple elegance that the TINYS can capture, that the bigger trees cannot. The colors are more dramatic too, since they are spread over a small area instead of a large area.
Here are the newest listings:
