The special limited edition Iridescent Glass Chip Gem Trees have finally arrived, are are now for sale on Etsy! I decided to list them there in the end, along with all the other gem trees. It makes it a lot less complicated for me!
You can view their Etsy listing here.
Their listed price is $25, but right now you can save 30% by using coupon code "30sale" when you check out!
A little about these glass chip trees: They are all made with varying colors of shimmy, iridescent glass chips. The chips sparkle and glow a rainbow of colors in the light. My shimmery gem trees were a hit at the last show, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with these!
I do have a limited run. Depending how they do, this is a one time thing. I have supplies to make 4 each of the 10 colors, or about 40 trees.
You can choose your favorite color:
* Lime Green
There is a drop down menu to pick your color when you order. If you want a green tree, please send me a note with which green- regular green or lime green. I was not able to include that particular option in the drop down menu.
The bases are a glass candle base, and I have the trees mounted in with clay.
I am running a special pre-clearance sale on my Etsy store. You can save 30% right now by using coupon code "30sale" when you checkout on Etsy. I need to make room for new gem trees, and I also want to pack and move as few gem trees as possible so nothing gets damaged when I move in the next month or so.
I will only be offering my glass gem trees on my website here, they're not going to be on Etsy until after the sale has ended. Look for these to get listed hopefully today, but for sure by the end of the week.
Here's a short cut to my Etsy shop!
I finally had time to re-do and correct my website shopping page! You can now shop for my gem trees without having to register on Etsy. I use PayPal for the shopping cart and checkout. Your payment will be very secure with PayPal, and you shouldn't have to register on PayPal to checkout (please let me know if I'm wrong on this!). The nice thing is, PayPal offers buyer and seller protection, as well as confirming shipping addresses and automatically sends the delivery confirmation number once the order is processed. I've used their services for several years now without issue.
As for the shopping experience, the gem trees are divided into their styles (mini, large, pine, wispy willow, etc.). The cost you see per item includes shipping and taxes (if applicable). Everything over $55 ships for free, just like on Etsy. I use either First Class Mail or Priority Mail for my shipping, so you'll get your order within a week.

I will be adding some very special, special edition glass chip Gem Trees tomorrow! They are made of a special iridescent glass chip. I have the following colors available: red, blue, aqua, purple, brown, yellow, green, black, pink, orange. They are mounted with clay, into a glass candle base. This will be my entry level product, with the price at I believe $20. I know my famous tagline is I use real gems, but I couldn't pass these chips up, they are amazing! :-) I think an exception can be made. These will make such great holiday gifts, home decor and office decor.
I am also planning on adding a Zen Garden base option. These are pretty cool, they include the sand, rock and even a tiny rake!
I'm also working hard on coming up with the cash for a few holiday shows in November and December. So far, there is only one scheduled for November. I have my eye on the Rosemount 23rd Annual Holiday Sale on November 17th. Unfortunately if I do that show, I'd be working it alone, and I'm not sure I'm up to that huge task!
I think that's all the news I have for now. Happy Thursday, only one more day until TGIF!
I finally got some free time to add all the latest and greatest gem trees to my Etsy inventory! Here is a rundown and link to each of them:

I also got the Wedding Center Pieces/Favors started, and you can see the listings here on Etsy: Mini Gem or Large Gem. The price includes your pick of gem colors/types, hopefully a color pail (so far I just know of white), and then your pick of wire color. The minis are about 6-8 inches tall, and the large ones are about 8-10 inches tall. The pails come with a thank you tag, but that can easily be changed to a table #. This is a developing idea, once I get more time I will add additional choices!
Our weekend at the Har Mar Rock Show went by quickly! We had a great time, sold many gem trees and met many wonderful people! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us, and welcome to our new customers!
I didn't know what to expect when I arrived at the Har Mar Mall Rock Show. People kept telling me it was a dead mall and nobody will never come to the show. The mall was packed solid Saturday, thank you rain! Sunday was a quiet day, probably because I forgot to bring my TV so people could watch football while they shopped. ;-) Actually, it saddened me how few families were out shopping together, and how many people didn't come out because of silly football. Its something I'll never understand. Its just a game, and there is just so much more to life to enjoy! Not saying shopping is necessarily the best way of spending your time either, but its about being with people and being social face to face. We've forgotten that so much over recent years, with tv and the internet taking precedence.
Anyways, I had a few people stop by to try my gem trees for healing. One lady wasn't sure what she wanted, until she took a peak at a tag, and she said, "yep, that's the tree for me!". My grandmother (in her mid-80s), in a wheelchair, spotted her tree sitting in the very back, and said, "that's the one I want!". Later on I found out that the one she chose is good for healing after illness and trauma, and I think its going to bring a lot of sunshine and good health into her life in the coming days! She isn't typically into crystals or trees, it was a very emotional experience for both of us. I also had a few requests for custom work, to fit people and their needs. Its going to be a big test for me, to see if I can put my crystal and Reiki knowledge to work in picking out the right gems and tree form to work for specific people.
As I was leaving the show Sunday evening, I stopped and chatted with a vendor that I hadn't had a chance to meet during the show. I was on the opposite end of the mall from her. Apparently my booth was the talk of the show, many people were walking by talking about my gem trees! I was referred to as the "lady with the gem trees". Its quite an honour! I put my heart and soul into what I make, and it really touches me to know that I can make an impact on people. Most of the show vendors stopped by one at a time to introduce themselves, and check out my work. I was thinking it was going to be tough to go up against professional vendors, fearing they weren't going to have a lot to say about someone making more of a "craft" out of their treasured rocks. But they loved them! Some even found opportunity to force me to buy their unique rocks for future bases. Talk about taking advantage of me! hehehe I'm just kidding, I really appreciated their help, and their deals. I will be hitting them up again this coming weekend for more bases, after I've had the week to plan out my next steps.
I also had a long visit from a fellow, and infamous, Bonsai Artist in town, Mr. Jim Sakamoto (I believe that's how is last name is spelled). He makes more of the Ming Gem Trees (using smaller seed beads in different tree shapes). He invited me out to see his show this coming weekend, in Cottage Grove. It was great to meet a fellow artist, because what we do is important, and it is a lot of fun to discuss our unique art.
I'm not sure what my next steps from here will be. I've gotten advice on some shows to try, so hopefully there will be a few openings between now and Christmas for me to sneak into! I still find the show circuit absolutely exhausting, even though it is so rewarding. I came home from 13 hours on my feet, feeling just so peaceful and renewed though! I'd love to try more. I will keep you posted on my events as they're confirmed. Thank you so much for your support, once again, I greatly appreciate it!
