New wire gem trees have been made! I love this beauty you see to the left of the text. It is made with a delicate green-blue Apatite gem, mounted on a Malachite-mix rock base. I decided to use a green wire because it made the gems at the ends of the branches sparkle! I was lucky enough to have the most perfect base match, it contains all the colors of the gems. It is up for sale on Etsy as of this morning. It truly is a piece of art!
I have been thinking hard about my prices once again. My prices reflect the high quality materials, high attention to detail and design skills. These aren't your $20 cheapie glued gem trees that you'll find around town. These are the real thing, with real gemstones and rock bases. At the same time, I want to keep my gem trees affordable for all. I welcome any comments and suggestions you have, regarding what you think of my pricing! I appreciate the feedback, as always.
This morning I found a local market, that I can have a display booth in! I am so excited! I'm considering trying a couple of weekend days, to test the market and see how things go. If it works out, you'll be able to visit my work, and me, in person at the Midtown Global Market off Lake Street in Minneapolis. I will announce when my dates will be, once I get them from the organizers.
Other than that, holiday season is just around the corner! I am trying hard to get ready for the season. If you are interested in purchasing any of my gem trees as gifts this year, I encourage you to purchase as soon as you can, so I can get them all shipped out in time! I would hate to have a bunch of orders a week before Christmas and risk them not arriving in time. When it gets closer to the holidays, I plan to have a little ticker on the website, letting you know what kind of turnaround time I am offering.
Do you make a craft similar, or the same as, my gem trees? I would love to feature you on my blog if you do! Please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks, and have a great week!
