I'm sorry I haven't updated this in a month! I have some things going on with my right shoulder/back, that's gotten in the way of doing many things, including working on the computer. I've been postponing my wire work too, to see if I could get my cut up fingers to heal, but its taking forever! I think this happened because I was resisting the idea so much of becoming a Reiki practitioner. I much prefer making products infused with the same energy, over people contact. I'm trying to reach a compromise here! lol
I had wanted to close the Spirit Gem Designs store while things healed and I got a new line put together, but I was met with such resistance, that's not going to happen! Instead, I'll just be working slowly and surely through things. I'm trying to clearance out my old work to make way for new work. My gem trees are getting more and more twisty and funky looking! I'm almost out of rock bases, and want to experiment using other types of bases in the meantime. I plan on stopping the current Mala bracelet design, in favor of a wrap version that can double as a headband and even hair scrunchie. I'm hand knitting it, and there is an option to add whatever charms you want. They closely resemble the Sari Wrap bracelets. I love calling them Chakra Aura Bracelets, because they're very colorful and sparkly! I want to add my own Yoga beanie hat too eventually, that will also be hand knit. I should say, I want to start focusing non-tree products on the Yoga Market. I'm loving what Yoga can do for people, it is an inspiration to do your best in life, and take care of yourself. As a note, I'm offering the charms separately, in case you'd like to use them for other things- cell phone charms, zipper pulls, etc. I will also NOT be doing any more Tree of Life jewelry, unless custom requested. So, buy yours while you can! :-)
Here's a gallery of the bracelet/headband/scrunchie, as well as the gemstone charms that go with it:
I also have an updated Sun Catcher in the works! It is 3D, the branches come out out, instead of being flat like my current sun catcher design. (which by the way, buy the current design while you can, they're also going away!) See what you think of it, in the photo below:
I'm still trying to figure out venues to attend, since the local rock club opportunity has dried up. There's a Tree festival up north in August that looks interesting, although I'm not sure I can do any traveling. I've never left my cats home a single night by themselves, ever. Hopefully with the new Yoga products, I can find more wholesale accounts, and grow the business that way, instead of relying on shows. They're a ton of fun since you get to meet your customer face to face, but Minnesota has to be one of the worst, as far as arts & craft shows go. There are so few quality shows, its sad.
I think that's about it for now! I have to get an order out, and head back to the drawing board! Have a great week!
