I'm so very proud of myself today, I got the gemstone mala bracelets listed on Etsy! You can view the individual listings here. They are organized according to color. There is a spot on the listing where you can select individual gems, and in some cases, if you want a round or chip version. If there's something you want but don't see it listed, send me a message!
I finally have some time to post about the MN Mineral Club's show last weekend. I think it went well, all things considered! We were hoping for lots of people, more than the regular Har Mar Shows, but it ended up being about the same. We sold many gem trees, bracelets, a few sun catchers and even a couple of dream catchers! It was great to see customers from previous shows, and hear how they've enjoyed their purchases. I ended up doing most of Sunday by myself; Kevin's van decided to break down a mile away from the show and had to be towed home. I almost had my car sidelined too, just before the show on Friday. I hit a dip in the road a little too fast and the small hole in the exhaust became a twisted muffler under my car! We were able to remove the muffler and I drove on!
Its always interesting to do shows, and see what people are into, and what interests them. I've been to shows now for a year, so I have a fairly good idea of my target market. Now, how to reach them is a whole other mystery! I'm still unsure of my pricing, because I know some of the people most into crystal healing simply cannot afford to buy anything. I really wanted access for all types of budgets, and I think I've finally created that with the 3 main products: gem trees, sun catchers/dream catchers, and gemstone jewelry.
Just before the show, I was re-reading a section of my favorite book by Jeffrey Geinger. I love how he writes. It isn't hocus pocus, you pick up this rock and it'll shield you from social media attacks. Instead, he talks about the mineral properties of what makes up a particular crystal, and the effect it has on the body. You can put together a chemical equation and figure out the type of crystal you really need, I am not joking. This is some very heavy study material, and I have full intention of becoming an "expert" in it. I find it amusing, since I never quite got the chemistry classes in school, but really enjoy figuring it out now!
I also have on order a new crystal healing book, full of what I like to see- affirmations and real attributes. It also talks about crystal gridding, which I'm not sure I want to get into or not. Its not that I don't believe in them, because some I've seen have been very powerful, but I'm not sure its the right tool for me personally. I like one at a time, to learn them and absorb their energies.
Anyways, I have some new products in the works! I really LOVE tumblestones, and will eventually be putting together different groups. I'll have one for love, relaxation, clarity of mind, ridding negative energies, etc. These will be great for the learner, the expert, and the professional. I have thoughts on developing a crystal healing kit for professionals too. I have visions of a toolbox system. Hmmm!
I also have some new Talisman necklaces, These are very understanded and simple, yet very interesting and extremely powerful. I got the idea from one I've had for years; it was a gift from my Latvian friend. They all contain 5 different gems, on a string, with some sort of wooden bead. While they can be kind of interesting to look at, the 5 gems really command your attention and easily programmable for your affirmations. I wear mine, for instance, when I need to keep my energies "invisible" to the outside world. I will be listing them tomorrow, Friday. I'll have some pre-made, but really want to keep them more customized. You can either order what kind of gems you want, or we can discuss what would best suit your needs.
Things haven't gone the best with my caretaking job, unfortunately, and I'm expecting things to change here real quick next week, for the better. If all goes to plan, I'm looking at being a free agent once more! I will revive my CHET concept (Crystal Healing Energy Therapy), and turn it into a practice! I saw the calling once more last week, and I understand that no matter how hard I try to distract myself with other things, I am meant to be a healer. Ok, ok, I'm on it! While I enjoy Reiki, I have my own way of doing it. I think some of these practitioners subscribe to hocus pocus, more than they can really feel a person's energy. I'm bad with hocus pocus I have to admit. I'm a skeptic! ;-)
I also want to really get into animal healing. I may be able to make special charms to put onto animal collars in the future, but for now will provide instruction on helping your furry friend with their needs. If you remember from previous posts, I've worked alot with my cat, Angie. She's had a rough time of it lately, ever since we added a kitten to the household. She is basically an autistic feline, she never developed certain social skills. She's so bad with other animals. Unfortunately she learned to be grumpy from my other cat, Bon Bon. Anyways, I set to work on trying to get her to calm down and I found the perfect tumblestone- a mostly green Peacock Ore. Green is for the heart, and I wanted to comfort her in knowing she's not being replaced, and that we love her still very much. It worked really well, seriously! I'd sit down for a session with her and she'd go from growling and angry to loving and sleepy! When she decided she was sick of the green, she threw it off the footstool! I had forgotten about her beloved Andean Opals (pink), and the moment I sat them down in front of her, all was good again. Animals are very sensitive to energies, I cannot stress it enough! Our newest addition, Gracie, has taken a real liking to one particular gem tree herself, my Halloween Gem Tree. Its made of Brecciated Jasper, Yellow Jade and Red Aventurine. I had it sitting on the floor with several other gem trees right before the rock show, and she made a beeline for this gem tree! I couldn't get her off of it! I took it to the show, but I think I'll have to give it to her. She's in the chewing phase right now, so I have to slowly introduce them to her so she doesn't hurt herself on them. Once animals learn what a gem tree is and are used the energy, they'll leave it alone.
Thanks again, for all your continued support! I'm sorry if this post isn't well organized, I have so much on the mind, and enthusiasm of moving forward! Onward and upward!
