My booth this past weekend.
Well, we survived our first show at the Farmer's Market! It was brutal. I was so tired by the time we're done, it took me about a day to recover. We had a steady crowd of people, and many admirers. It didn't go as well as I was hoping, but being the first show, we did ok.
Its going to take some time to get established, and for people to feel comfortable buying from a new vendor. I'm not all sure how that works, but that's the rumor anyways! On that note, we're going to be at the Farmer's Market again this coming Saturday, October 6th from 6:30-1:30pm. There are some people that really wanted to buy that day, but weren't prepared for it. I really hope to see them there this coming Saturday!
I'll be working hard this week to make numerous changes to the booth. First off, is that table! It was a great idea to display them like I did, with the exception it was cluttered. I think it was too overwhelming. I have plans to make a color display instead, with a small number of trees, and they will be sitting on a creme table cloth instead, highlighting with some color underneath them I think (or if I can figure out how to get some of them raised off the table).
I'm also working hard on the signage! I won't have a professional banner until the Har Mar Mall Rock Show the following weekend, so I'll have to craft another one up by hand.
As for the gem trees, there will be some new ones coming with on Saturday! As I said above, I'm going to be doing a heavy color display. There will be big and small trees of every size represented. The ones that don't make the cut will for sure be at the Har Mar Rock Show, in case you don't see what you like there on Saturday.
As always, I appreciate your help and support with my business! If you have any comments, suggestions or advice, please send them my way, I'd love to hear from you! My email again is email@example.com.
